Esprit d’Escalier
Esprit d’Escalier is a Prog Metal band from France founded in 2018. The band’s latest release, Thresholds, is a captivating prequel EP that lays the foundations for a forthcoming album due in 2025 and refines the band’s distinctive sound with influences from progressive metal à la Haken/Pain of Salvation with small post-hardcore accents from Dillinger Escape Plan/Mars Volta, Jazz and Experimental/Avant-garde. Already well established on their local underground scene, the band is looking forward to exporting to Europe and defending this EP on stage throughout the 2024 season, thanks in particular to the Hyper Tension Prod collective recently founded with other emerging bands from the French Prog scene (Synapse, Hemeroplan).

Ohrima
Ohrima is een Sallandse progressieve metal band. Een jaar na de release van hun debuutalbum ‘Catoblepas’ in 2023 is de Sallandse metal formatie weer terug bij Walhalla met hun nieuwe single ‘Compartmentalize’! Als onderdeel van de ‘Not Sponsored By Strandberg Tour’ maken zij in 2024 hun internationale debuut samen met hun goede vrienden van Esprit ‘d Escalier. Ontstaan in 2012 uit een vriendengroep met een gedeelde passie voor metal heeft Ohrima een unieke mix gevonden tussen progressive rock/metal, groove en death metal. Met 7 en 8 snarige die doen denken aan bands als Devin Townsend en Periphery en driestemmige zang geïnspireerd door bands als Haken en Mastodon is Ohrima dynamisch en verrassend!
